Posted - 17 May 2009 : 20:23:46 Hi, I went bankrupt on the 23rd March 2007. I have still not received any correspondence from anyone regarding discharge or anything. If I buy a van next week Can I put it in my name? Also what do I do to find out what happens next? Thank you Matthew

Check if you are still on the Insolvency Register (http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/) as this will tell you whether you are still BR or not. Unless a BRO was mentioned by the OR then you should have been discharged in March 2008.
You can put the van in your name even if you haven't been discharged but I would contact your OR to chase up the discharge letter.
