Hi MJS,

I am afraid you are not proctected from creditors until you actually go BR, you will still get calls and letters. My suggestion is do not answer the phone - yes it is difficult and stressful but all worth it in the end
With regards to letters 95% of them are just threats and really nothing will happen and if in the next few weeks they apply for a CCJ against you it will end up in your BR in 2 months time so nothing to worry about, as I say the phonecalls are mostly annoying. 1 tip I can give you is register for Choose to Refuse with BT and you can block unwanted calls by typing in 14258 after a creditor calls and if you are with HSBC (my worst creditor) I suggest to remove your number from online banking - that was the best thig I ever did as I have heard they harass people even after BR. I have only received 2 letters from them since BR and I bet they are well angry as they cannot phone me LOL
