Hi there

If you are in receipt of JSA you can get a reduction of the court fee £150 but still have to pay the OR's fee of £360

If you have any utility bills in your name you may qualify for a 'voucher' from your local CAB to cover the costs of filing for bankruptcy under a scheme opereated by many utility companies via the CAB but you would have to make an appojntment with the Money Advisor at your local CAB to see if you qualify.

May i ask how much you owe? If under £15k you may qulify for the new scheme which came into force on 6th April this year called a Debt Relief Order which is similar to bankruptcy but only costs £90 - again you would need to make an appointment with the CAB to follow this route

Hope this helps

Yes, from the CCCS, CAB, National Debtline or by selecting the 'experts' link on the left hand side of the page to speak to one of the professionals that frequents this board.
