Put in a new claim for tax credits last week as all my overtime has gone from this week, got it back today, its gone up from £10 to £100 a week.Question is can I spend it , or do I have to keep it for OR(phone meeting 9th June.Once wages show full drop at end June even with extra tax credits I will still be on slightly less than stated on SOA,but for this month I will have extra £200 - £300, why does everything have to be so complicated.I've got a feeling they might get worse yet as all my financial circumstances have changed since I went BR.

If it is just a one-off of the extra £200 - £300 then this won't be counted as your 'normal' income as you can explain to the OR about the wage changes during the interview.

There shouldn't be a problem spending the extra money as, even if have an IPA, it can take a couple of months to set the IPA up and any excess before your first payment is yours to spend.
