Posted - 30 May 2009 : 14:54:16 Currently I am in an IVA,also ,unemployed,and on pension creditand have only managed to pay 3 months of my IVA.These are my debts and nobody else's.Would assets of my wife's be included in any seizure? |

Posted - 30 May 2009 : 23:54:16 Unfortunately, this isn't going to be a straight yes/no answer. Is your wife declaring BR as well, is she also in the IVA, how long have you been in the IVA, is there any chance of keeping the IVA going?
BR is really the final step in insolvency process so if you can keep your IVA going, depending upon your circumstances, then that would be the best scenario.
You should get some professional advice either from the CCCS, CAB, National Debtline or by selecting the 'experts' link on the left hand side of the page to speak to one of the professionals that frequents this board.
