Posted - 31 May 2009 : 21:36:48 someone took me to court several weeks ago and tried to sue me for something i never did. I won my case but I now hav 20,000 fees to pay, the person who took me to court was on a no win no fee claim and should have to pay my fees right? he is going bankrupt? so who pays my fees??

Posted - 31 May 2009 : 22:38:25 You should be able to claim the fees from him, if he goes bankrupt then in effect you and/or your solicitors will become a creditor of that persons estate.
You are stil however liable for your fees, you can try and claim them your home/car insurance or ifyou have any work indemnity insurance.
I would if I was you have a conversation with your legal advisor explain the situation and see whether he/she can put a claim in
