I went to court last Friday! Declared bankrupt without even seeing the judge. Was there for about 2 hours, the usher dealt with everything and was lovely, she kept asking if I was okay, apparently I was as white as a ghost! Spoke with the OR on the phone, said they'll be making contact again this week. It wasn't an experience I'd like to repeat, not ever been in a court building before. Lots of other cases were being heard, its a crown and county court, and very very busy.
I haven't quite got that feeling of huge relief that people talk about, I expect that'll come either after the OR interview or after my creditors make their next call and I can tell them to contact the OR.
My partner even came with me to court, I expected him to run a mile but hes been great.
Nationwide B/S said they'd freeze my account, so I opened an account with Barclays without any problems, recommened by the OR.
So, fairly smooth running so far, just hope it'll stay that way!

finally went br today.Birmingham was very good and made us feel at ease.It took 1hour and 45 minutes from start to finish.Did not have to see judge. We feel great and have now to wait for OR to contact us tomorrow,to arrange appointment.Just like to say thank you to everyone for all the help and reassurance you have given us.We will never forget it.
