You will be able to rent, however you may find it difficult, although not always impossible, to rent through letting agents as they tend to carry out credit checks on most tenants. The other option would be to rent through a private landlord as they don't tend to bother with credit checks. I have been renting through a private landlord for over a year now and went BK a few months ago. I did let him know in advance of my bankruptcy and he had no problem with it. As long as he gets his rent on time and there are no arrears, I don't think any landlord would have a problem with their tenant being BK.
