Posted - 06 June 2009 : 16:05:29 At last my computer is now working as I have been dying to tell you how it all went on Thursday. My husband and I became bankrupt and I must say it was not as scary as I had expected. Thank you all so much for your answers to my questions when I had them a few weeks back. Thank you too Melanie, you really eased my mind. I am now just worried about a telephone call that my husband and I have next Friday. What is asked by the OR? Can someone please enlighten me as I will worry now until this time.
Thank you all so much. |

Posted - 06 June 2009 : 17:27:12 Try not to worry. It really is not that bad. Just had all your paper work in front of you, as in SOA, mobile, I & E. Anything you have not got dont worry. They will probably say, send it in or "what can you remember"? Mine was honestly fine, dont worry. Let us know how you get on. Rosie

Posted - 06 June 2009 : 17:21:53 Thank you for you comments. Im more scared about the phone call than I was about going to court. My stomach is in knots. Im worried about all the questions the OR is going to ask and my having to explain myself. I cant wait for this all to be over. |

Posted - 06 June 2009 : 16:40:56 Hi there! My call just involved going over what I had written on my SOA. I had moved into rented accommodation between filling out the form and going BR so some of the time was taken up with giving further details on that. The OR rep. did ask me about some transactions which he had looked at (I was asked to send in 12 months worth of payments). The one that got me was a cheque stub as I did not write many cheques so he had the whole cheque book and asked me about a payment of £15K I had made in April 08 or 07. Do you know I could not even remember the circumstances!!?? I guessed it was following re-mortgage me paying off a loan but for the life of me I could not remember. I was just honest and told him. My call lasted about 1 hr 45 minutes but you would not know it. Just be honest. It is not actually the OR that usually speaks to you but their representative. I cant remember their title but they are usually very human and just doing their job. Mine was not at all judgemental. He just needed enough facts to produce a report for the OR. I was totally honest and told him, during the call, about any niggles I had. I also phoned the next day to clarify certain points and they were most helpful. My area is Birmingham. I think it really depends on the area. I had an horrendous court visit, not the judge, but the clerk at the start. The telephone interview though was fine. Make sure you have your mobile phone details if you are on a contract because although I had not listed it on the SOA as they were not a creditor, he did ask me for these details. Good luck and keep posting. Rosie
