Posted - 22 June 2009 : 21:54:25 I have an appointment at court on the 6th july, to make a petition for bankruptcy. What i want to know is, whether or not to tell my creditors i am doing this. At the moment the phones always ringing from one of them demanding their money. |

Posted - 23 June 2009 : 19:06:15 Hi I never bothered letting mine know, from what I have heard and as said above they will ring you regardless and for a little while after BR.
Its not worth the hassle telling them as when your on the phone they will prob just threaten you and try to make you make a payment.
We ended up changing our number.

Posted - 23 June 2009 : 10:36:57 I think the call centre robots are just programmed to keep phoning, regardless of what you tell them.
If they can get you to pay money across then they earn more!

Posted - 22 June 2009 : 21:58:07 It's up to you whether you tell them or not. To be honest I don't know if it'll make a lot of difference as until you've got the BR order number they may not believe you.
There's no harm in telling them though as it might get you some breathing space with some.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
