Posted - 09 July 2009 : 19:15:09 I have just had a pre baliff call from someone looking for my son who no longer lives at home. He said the debt was against my house! which is not true but inferred that i would be required to pay it or they would seize my possesions! is this true.

If the debt is not yours, then you have nothing to worry about as long as your son's debt's were unsecured.
I think they were just trying to scare you.
If they turn up at your house, refuse to let them in, and make sure that all doors and windows are locked as well.
