hi all,will my OR accept if i include my family back home in my monthly expenses.my father had a mild stroke and my sister is just 18years of age suffering diabetes.i am sending them a £350 monthly.and also i have 2 kids,one is 5 and 2 years of age.i want them to give a £200 also. |

If you don't mind me asking, how have you been funding the payments home while you have been in your IVA?

I really don't think that you will be allowed to carry on supporting your father and sister whether you've got receipts or not - receipts may prove that you send the money, but not that they actually need it.
I'm not doubting that they do need it, just thinking how the examiner might look at it.
Is there any reason your sister can't get a job to support herself and your father?

I think debtinfo means OR and just hit the wrong key!
The CSA is the Child Support Agency.
I don't think it makes any difference if you have receipts to show that you have been sending money back.
I doubt it would be allowed.

Hi
As they are not living with you they will not be deemed to be part of your "family" but in some way may still be dependant upon your self. Under more normal circumstanes this would mean that you may pay an amount through the CSA (i forget the new name). If this was the case it would be allowable as pe the guidance on the IS website. Some OS's do allow less formal arrangements if they can be proved to be in place (bankstatements etc) but not all do. |

they live with my mother in law.i am separated with my wife.my kids are visiting in this country once a year.they are a british citizen and they need to come back here so that theyre citizenship will not lose.

Hi, this answer is in two parts
1)Father and sister - These will not be acceptable expenses unless they lived with you and were official dependants i.e you were a registered carer for them.Other than this each adult non-dependant must make their own way in life.
