I think Barclays are ok as well, but would personally recommend the Co-op.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Hi dianem, Personally i would recommend the co-op cashminder account, you can apply in the bank or phone them, you can't do it online, it takes minutes to do and the staff are brill, it takes roughly 5-10 days to get everything up and running with your cards, pin numbers and paying in book coming through the post, and you can phone up and set up telephone bsnking, that you can use online, you can also set up your DD's and standing orders without any problems the co-op are top of my list any day!!! good luck x

Hi

Yorkshire Bank and Yorkshire Building Society arent bankruptcy friendly.

Natwest review applications on a case by case basis andyou could be left weeks without knowing.

Barclays also offer a basic account with visa debit for bankrupts
and there are the managed account services, such as Thinkbanking, evolution banking (secure trust bank), OneBanking, Clearcash and CredECard services.

Best of luck

When I tried the Yorkshire Bank they wouldn't let me open an account until I was discharged.

Personally I would recommend the Co-op Cashminder.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

The Co-op Cashminder is probably the best account and they are BR friendly. The Nat West Step account is also BR friendly as is the Yorkshire bank.
