Posted - 11 July 2009 : 18:26:25 When you are made redundant some times there will be back pay owing for instance if your company has been in trouble and owes you wages. Alternativly sometimes they set the nominal leaving date a few weeks in the future for instance if they have to give you a set amount of notice before dismissal (redundancy is a type of dismissal). As for the holidays if you are 6 months through your year but have not take any of you holidays yet their will be holiday pay owing to you. These are the items that are yours to keep. If they give you compensation for the redundancy or an amount based upon your length of service, this is the amount that will be claimed by the OR
