Posted - 17 July 2009 : 13:19:04 I am being voluntarily repossessed by my lender Abbey and now my second secured loan provider, Paragon, have sent me a solicitor's letter stating that I have to vacate the house within a week as they are starting repossession. Can they do this? I am now really worried as I have nowhere to move to at the moment, I am still trying to save for a deposit for a rental plus moving costs. Abbey have not given me a date to vacate, so do I really need to move out within the next week? I was declared bankrupt in February this year. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Posted - 22 July 2009 : 13:45:33 Paragon have now sent me a letter saying that I will have to pay their solicitor's fees of £280, and it will be added on to my balance. Will I have to pay this, or should I just ignore it as my secured loan will become part of my bankruptcy when the house is sold?

If Paragon are only starting reposession proceedings then you have quite a lot of time before being asked to leave.
