hello,
I was wondering if you have to petition your BR in the town where you live?? I am equal distance between two towns. Has anyone ever dealt with the Stockport or Manchester courts / OR offices. I have read lots of different posts and people are treated differently at different offices.

Plus - what is classed as reasonable outgoings?? Are you allowed to claim for a holiday we are a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Plus - sorry - is it better for both of us to declare BR together or at different times or does it not make any difference. Than

Sorry forgot to add it makes no difference whether or not you do it at the same time or seperately - me i would both do it at the same time to get it over and done with

As to Holiday - I would not allow it but would ensure the maximumis claimed in all the relevant areas that are allowed

The court you have to usse will depend on your post town/parish boundary. Give one of the courts a ring Stockport 01614 747707 or Manchester 0161 541800 ask to speak to the bankruptcy clerk and ask whether or not they 'cover' your area. If you do not check you could find that when you arrive on the day of the hearing they will not hear the case if you do not fall under their jurisdiction. You have no say on where the order is made i'm afraid, but one quick phone call and you will know
