hello,

I am currently trying to complete the SOA form. I have been told to put down the maximum amount allowed for food, phone, clothes etc even if you don't spend that much. What I am worried about is when the OR reads it will they not query that I have no disposable income when i theory by not paying my old debts there should be 600.00. please telL me if I am being thick. Only one of us is going BR, so should i put the whole amount for rent, c/tax gas electric food on my outgoings???? I AM CONFUSED AND WORRIED AND CAN'T CONENTRATE

You should really put down your actual expenditure not the maximum allowed or how can you later argue that you should be allowed extra for certain items because of your personal circumstances. However to contridict my self you may find then when you do a proper accounting of what you need you may find that it is higher then you thought you were spending. This is commonly because you were using credit before to pay for things or were living at below a reasonable level.

You should put down the whole amount of joint expenditure and the OR will apportion it reative to your proportion of the income
