If you haven't got any income then you won't be given an IPA. However the OR can impose one up until the date of discharge, so you will have to notify them of any changes in your circumstances up until that time.

That's where I went and they were fine. Obviously I don't know if it's the same BR clerk, but all the people I saw (apart from the security guard) were lovely.

Have you checked whether you need to make an appointment? When I went you didn't have to as it was first come first served, but they would only see 4 people a day, and you could only go Monday to Thursday.

Like I said it might have changed now, but best to check if you haven't already done so!

Don't worry, that means you have taken advice.

Which court are you going to?

hi gettingoutofdebt,u said i might be refused br if i dont sought professional advice.i was in dmp for over 2years and until the second time they adviced me to go br.asides from that,i didnt go to any expert anymore.i contacted reviva uk last month and told me that i am elligible to go br.

They will check your SOA and then ask for the payment. Don't worry about making mistakes on the SOA as the BR Clerk will cross out anything that is incorrect and write in the correct value.

Don't forget that you sign to SOA to say that 'as far as you are aware' the information provided is 100% correct. If you make a genuine mistake and enter incorrect information this won't be counted as fraud and you will not get into trouble.

The only reason you will be refused BR is:

- You don't have the BR fee
- You Centre of Main Interest (COMI) is not the UK but another EU country other than Denmark
- You have not sought professional advice
- You are not insolvent
- You are in an IVA that hasn't failed

Everyone worries that when they turn up at the court they will be sent away but this is very rarely the case.
