Posted - 14 August 2009 : 13:54:38 If they are teenagers then £10 a week pocket money is not over the top, and then the difference could be bus fares to school, or school trips. Have you got enough in for your other expenditure items?

Posted - 14 August 2009 : 11:26:57 Hi newbee
We always used to include child benefit as income as it is not a means tested benefit. In order to counter that though you would be able to use it in your expenditure for pocket money, after school activities, swimming lessons etc.

Posted - 14 August 2009 : 10:17:00 I too was told this was disregarded but my OR tried to include it and impose an IPA, Hubby and I were both bankrupt, I was not working, but hubby was and we have 3 children, the household income comprises of hubby's wage and child benefit for 2 children as our eldest is doing a degree we cannot get CB for her anymore,
this is one of the reasons we contested the IPA, we thought it unfair
I am not sure about CB, to be honest |
