I couldn't believe how much cheaper they were than Churchill and I went through the Quidco cashback website so I should get £75 cashback as well.

Hi Skippy - i went to the Co-op as well like you I could not pay the premium monthly but they were £150 cheaper than the leading supermarket I was with!!! so it was better to pay in one go.

I personally think Co-op are brilliant insurance and bank account wise, i always recommend them whether for clients or friends

The Co-op wouldn't let me pay monthly, but it was so much cheaper than my renewal notice that it wasn't a problem.

I was a bit nervous about getting car insurance when bankrupt, but I changed companies, it was cheaper and I can pay monthly, they never even asked about bankruptcy and do not know if they did a credit check

I've had no problems getting insurance since I was BR, but I had to pay my car insurance up front this year as I failed the credit score - not really a surprise!

You will be able to get insurance in the future but you may have to pay the full amount upfront rather than on a monthly basis as your credit file may be checked for monthly payments.

It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway ) that this company probably won't be too keen to insure you in the near future.

If you no longer have the car and do not require the insurance you can indeed include the debt within your bankruptcy. This should not affect future insurance provision

thank u.i voluntarily surrendered the car.i dont need the car insurance anymore.but in the future, can i still get insurance?

I think from your past posts that you have a car on finance that you want to get rid of i.e. have the finance company pick it up. If this is the case then you can include the debt in your SOA as you won't need the insurance any more. By including the debt you will probably have invalidated the car insurance and the company will cancel the policy.

If you will still need the car insurance after your declare BR then I would recommend paying the arrears to keep the insurance valid.

Not sure about that, but do be careful that your insurance policy isn't cancelled by the company and you end up driving without any.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
