I thought I'd put this down as both things suprised me.

Vodafone: I've had my contract mobile, and hubby has had his internet dongle from vodafone for about 18 months with no issues. Hubby wanted to get a more practical phone, so applied to get his own mob contract from vodafone, and got it. This was 5 months in to BR.

Abbey: http://www.abbey.com/csgs/Satellite?appID=abbey.internet.Abbeycom&c=Page&canal=CABBEYCOM&cid=1210610585635&empr=Abbeycom&leng=en_GB&pagename=Abbeycom%2FPage%2FWC_ACOM_TemplateB2
I managed to open one of these savings accounts just 8 weeks in to BR. Its only a cash card and has no chip and pin, so all you can do is withdraw cash, but it was very easy to set up, and you can transfer money in from co-op internet banking.

anyone else got similar things to share?

just amazed me that they were happy to give him a blackberry storm and new contract. I would have been pleased if I'd known before BR lol

With a mobile phone contract, as long as you stay with the same company, you will have no problems. They don't check the CRA - they just check to see that you have been making your payments on time and haven't missed any.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
