Posted - 22 August 2009 : 18:23:16 Hi shellyandrew
I am sorry that your OR experience has not been so good - is yours in Plymouth?
I know that people that I know in the Cityand the area of its juristiction, all have good experiences generally speaking.
I wish you well anyway - I have to say being BR is not always a barrel of laughs, but when the OR treats you with dignity and respect, it sure helps!!
Onwards and upwards, Richard

Posted - 22 August 2009 : 14:24:58 I wish the people I spoke to in the office were as friendly as your OR Richard. My OR never seems to be at the office, and seem to get stuck with the miserable one who doesnt want to help :-(.
Good luck newbee - glad things have gone good so far :-)

Posted - 22 August 2009 : 13:13:16 hi,
Yes, the Plymouth OR is very good - cannot mention any names, but the people I have dealt with are fantastic - the pwerson who did my interview (10 hours!) (Do not worry, I think that is some kind of record!!) ended up as I was leaving the building at 6.00 pm. plus, said you can call me ****, (his first name) I have to say I have not as I believe their should be that bit of "distance."
They will return calls swiftly and use emails when it is non contentious issues to reply to. (OR, like the legal profession do not like emails).
Good luck, Richard

Posted - 22 August 2009 : 11:49:28 Really glad to hear all went well. I will be dealing with Plymouth myself so that makes me feel a little easier. I'm really scared though, ive never been one for confrontation - very shy. Congrats again and hope all goes well in the future. |

Posted - 21 August 2009 : 13:58:56 Glad to hear it all went well. From Housing's/Richard's post the OR's that you will be dealing with seem to be good as well so the interview should be fine. |

Posted - 21 August 2009 : 13:45:26 Congratulations!
so glad it all went okay for you, quite a lot of people these days don't actually have to go into the court (due to high volume of orders) which really makes the whole process easier for individuals as many are terrified of facing the District Judge, which in reality is a completely unfounded fear as they only ever ask a couple of helpful questions to confirm your details and whether or not you have taken advice (this forum counts as advice) but i can appreciate the fear though. Have a copy of the forms in front of you when you have your telephone appointment with the OR and you will see where they are asking questions from which will assist you in your responses. Most people find the OR call a positive experience (and before negatve comments fly around the forum....I said most people, there are always the odd member of staff in any organisation!!) the majority of OR staff are really helpful and are only trying to get the whole picture on your finanical situation and help you through the process
Again, congratulations, big hurdle overwith and here's to a debt free future, well done

I am so glad that went so well for you - like all of there is a fear of the unknown.
I sincerely hope that when the OR gets in touch, that will be straightforward for you too...
