I was made br on 14th August. it was a straightforward case.the OR said he would put forward for ED but it could take a while due to the backlog of cases.
My car is 10 years old so was exempt from assets, but the mot is due in october and I think it would be worthwile getting rid of it as it needs new exhaust , 2 tyres and two shocks to pass MOT at least.
Would I be able to replace car, and up to what value? Does it have to be within the £2000 mark or could I go higher to get a half decent one.
Also, do I have to inform the OR that it needs replacing?

Many thanks.

hmmm toughie

If you've had it exempted, I wouldnt think it'd be a problem to sell it. I would then say get something of the same value with what you make from it. I would probably then inform the OR that you've changed cars.

Hopefully someone else will weigh in on this
