HI if the or tell you there will take your car but you can by it back off them how does this work

The OR valued mine at £1400 (I would have said lower!) and said that as I needed it for work it would be exempt so you should be fine. The OR will send you a letter confirming the car's exemption a couple of weeks after the interview. |

If the car is only worth that much and you need it for work, then I wouldn't have thought that the OR would want it off you.

What is the car worth and is it on finance?
Also do you use the car to get to work?

The OR will determine what the car is worth ( or how much over the allowance it is worth) and ask you for this value.
There isn't a payment arrangement for this - they need the money in one lump sum.
