Hi Everyone,
Just received a letter from the RTLU this morning confirming that they are now dealing with my affairs. They are asking me to confirm the source of the funds used to petition for my bankruptcy? My father gave me money at the time which he said he does not want back I therefore did not list him as a creditor when I had my meeting with the OR. My original plan was to pay him back at some point but being honest I don't think that will ever happen. My father has been great, after an inital worry he had about the stigma, he has been nothing but supportive and pleased to see that I am so much happier away from my "old life".

The letter is asking for the name and address of the person is the funds were supplied by a third party. The end of the letter says the request is not a matter for concern.

I just wondered if anyone had had similar and if they actually contact the person. My father is in his mid 70s and can get quite worried by any type of officialdom. Thanks.

Ah thanks Skippy, no I will assume it is just part of their investigation etc. so anything else would be a real bonus. I was more worried about getting Dad embroiled in any dialogue with OR really. Thanks again.

I hope I haven't got your hopes up as it's only a vague memory, but I hope it's something like that for you!

Thanks both. Gosh Skippy, goodness how they sort out what they pay everyone? I think I will let Dad know that I am giving his name and address and not to worry if he gets a letter etc. Thanks for advice both.

I seem to remember someone else having a similar letter, and because there was money left over the person who had paid the fees got the money back from the OR.

Not come across this before

we used our overdraft (naughty, I know but we were desperate) for 2 lots of fees and the OR did not say anything about it
