Posted - 26 August 2009 : 17:45:23 Hi
I was just reading through the forms and was wondering what items go on as assets. For example my daughters Wii? What about my husbands gun that cost him £400 should that go on? My PC was a refurb and cost £178 our TV is about seven years old and what about books, C.D's and DVD's?
We are unsure what to put and don't want to break the rules!
Please help!

Posted - 27 August 2009 : 09:54:29 Hi thank you for that do we need to write all these items on the SOA for the OR or let him know when he looks into our affairs. Is there a limit to price of household items that need to go on? The gun is an air rifle that was purchased on his credit card less than a year ago. so at a guess he will lose it then.
Cheers

Posted - 27 August 2009 : 06:55:19 Hi
if it is a shotgun then he will loose the licence because of Br. Therefore the gun would be surplus and would be lost.
Also if the gun was bought within the last year or via a credit card it may be lost because it is not a necessity unless hubby needs it for work ( game warden, sportsman or professional bank robber etc etc etc )

Posted - 26 August 2009 : 17:47:56 I think that as long as you have no valuable antiques, that your household goods are safe.
Your husband's gun may have cost him £400, but it wouldn't realise that now if it were to be sold.
I am sure your goods are quite safe.
The glimmer gets brighter all the time
