Posted - 28 August 2009 : 22:17:36 Hi I am about to go bankrupt, but have a couple of questions that are bothering me. 1) I am a health professional and work in the community I have to have a car to carry out my job, this car is leased through a company contracted to the NHS and the lease amount is taken directly from my wages at source. Will any aspect of this be affected by a BR? 2)I only have one bank account and it is a basic account with lloyds, its joint with my husband who is not going Bankrupt, what will happen to it? will it still get frozen? Thanks

1) I am not too sure of this but one of the professionals may be able to help.
2) You should check with the bank. Some basic bank accounts can be left open but sometimes the bank will automatically close it. There is a good chance that it will be frozen for a few days once you declare BR. You could always open a Co-op Cashminder account just in case there are problems with the Lloyds account.
