Posted - 26 September 2009 : 18:20:31 We have filed for BR but the earliest date we could have was 25th November. I have written to all our creditors explaing the situation and telling them about the BR. However we are still getting letters about non payments, with threats that if we don`t pay within x amount of days, they will be forced to take a more formal approach to getting the money. This has started to worry me about what will happen, can anyone please advise me of what to do? |

Posted - 28 September 2009 : 13:18:39 If I were you, I would just ignore them, there is not a whole lot the creditors can do in such a short time
I did not pay or contact my creditors for about 7 months before I went bankrupt, yes, I got mountains of letters but I ignored them. I changed the phone number too. I did get 2 CCJs awarded whilst waiting but I never answered the door in case it was bailiffs. I did not even bother sending the court papers back defending the claim, why bother? I knew I owed the money but could not pay it and once bankrupt, it all ended there
