Our trustee wants beneficial interest of £16,000.Even though we have equity in our property to cover this,we can not get a remortgage. Our 3 years are almost over. Will we have to sell our house if we cannot provide a third party interest?

Yes. Unfortunately, as the Trustee has reqested £16,000, being the beneficial interest, you will have to find someone who is prepared to pay this amount. Otherwise you will be obliged to sell the house. Alas these are the bankruptcy rules.
