Hi we recieved a letter informing us that the OR would be applying for ED. This was about 3-4 weeks ago. They mentioned not to contact them after sending in our updated IE forms as this can slow the process up.

Does anyone know how long it will be or if we will hear again till we are discharched.

We went BR on 26th April this year and its all went very smoothly.

Thanks

Mick

I received new SOA forms for early discharge 3 weeks ago, sent forms back the same days, within a week I received a letter back to say they had finished dealing with my case and would be passing it on.They also said that after 28 days (as long as no creditors objected)they would be filling early discharge forms at the bank. Does this mean as long as no one objects that I will be discharged in next few weeks, can't beleive I might be lucky after only 4 months BR.

Thanks to you both. I am checking the register every day so I guess its just a matter of waiting to see what happens now.

Thanks

Mick

hi mick, presuming that the OR has enough time to process the ED this is the process. It will be a minimum of 4 weeks because the OR writes to all your creditors asking if they have a reasonable objection to you being ED. If creditors do they have to deal with these objections first and might not give the ED.

Have you checked the online register to see if ED has been granted yet

My examiner said in the beginning mine was a very straightforward case as well. I sent my ED letter back the day it arrived, they rang me within a couple of days and then heard nothing whatsoever until I received ED 17 weeks (!) later. Although it was fantastic to get it I only had 3 weeks to go before automatic discharge.

I think it depends how busy the office dealing with your case is. Everyone keeps saying they are all so busy because so many people are going BR but I am not so sure it's as many as this time last year. Who knows.

Best of luck with it anyway and I hope it comes through soon for you!
