Posted - 12 November 2009 : 19:57:38 hi, just want to introduce myself, due to being saddled with a debt after a break up, sale of house for a loss and redundancy i am 27k in debt, got debt collectors after me now and i am just hoping this will go to court for BR as i can't afford to do this myself and it is my only hope. its like being between a rock and a hard place. |

Posted - 14 November 2009 : 09:42:36 If you are currently on benefits you can get a reduction of £150 from the £510 BR fee by completing the following form:

The CAB is a good start and they may be able to advise you on any assistance with the BR fees that are available. |

Posted - 13 November 2009 : 18:40:19 well i have looked at this from a realistic point of veiw and i know BR is the only way, not too stressed just resigned to it. i can't ask anyone for money to VBR, my dad has it but he has just retired, we lost my mum recently so i am trying to keep him out as much as i can but he does help with food and petrol now and then. i will speak to CAB then an expert and go from there. |

Posted - 12 November 2009 : 21:58:31 Andy C, I was in a very similar situation to you (mine added up to 47K tho) I contacted an expert on here and became BR on Wednesday this week. Was nothing like I had thought - was nothing to be worried about. I suggest clicking on the as experts a question tab and contacting Paul Johns from Reviva. He has been working with me and is fab. Took all the stresses away from my case. Lyndsey |

Posted - 12 November 2009 : 20:54:27 well, there are many experts on here that can offer advice, is there anyway you can get cash together to petition for BR rather than the stress and worry of waiting for creditors to do it.? |

Posted - 12 November 2009 : 20:28:06 ty guv, well i am now starting to take notice of the debts but will be going to the CAB soon, i work but i get a pitance really, its a job for the sake of a job, after rent and important bills i have less than £100 for the month, so IVA or any plan seems too much. i don't own anything of value above £300-£500 to sell so thats it lol |
