Nil Tax Code

Hello all. Havent posted on here for a while as things have been quiet our end.

My husband and I went BR back in June and he has still not received his NIL TAX CODE, however I think it will be put in place this month as he has received a letter from the Inland Revenue saying about the tax going to the OR. The letter also says about a refund of around £1400. Is this the tax that has been paid to HMRC since June and now it has been backdated and the OR will be getting it?

My husband is away at the moment so he cant ring to ask, so thought I would write on here. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Christmas.

Yep you usually receive a form to sign from the OR. Then moonbeever get in touch and tell you to look for the change. When the IR inform You of the NT code being applied you then inform moonbeever

Hi and thanks for the reply. I think my husband got that form back in June/July not long after we went bankrupt. Would that be right?

Yep the refund is for the period between the bankruptcy date and when the NT code is started. Have you had the IPA form from the OR to sign yet
