Starboy hi again,

Not sure as yet - my GP sent the letter, I took in three crates more paperwork for the OR and I will simply wait and see.

Hope things get better for you and yours - keep posting on this site - it is good to support each other and I do wish I could go to the get together next week (it is a bit too far from Devon). It is also my wifes birthday and our grandaughter stays at ours on a Saturday - maybe another time as I really feel this forum is so theraputic and people are friends in the real sense - my so called friends bar 2, appear to have left the country!!

regards, Richard

Ha ha ha Richard P!!

One wife (as great as she is) is sufficient...

But being serious, it does assist the process if your family are there - including my mother in law - bless her! She has been great -I was once the successful son in law - how things can change!!

This Christmas will be quite tough for us as we always "give a lot" - lesson learnt and I am sure we will appreciate each other for what we are NOT what we can give in material things - I sound like a born again

Our 8 year old granddaughter has been the one that has made us smile when we needed it - I have just collected the car that the OR approved - £1,995 and, I have to say welcome - anyway she said I thought you did not have any money granddad - how did you get a new car!!

Out of the mouths of babes...Makes you feel humble

Regards, Richard

Hi again starboy,

yes, most of the time I am great - each day, I have to say is a step forward, although all depressive illnesses bring bad days and then I feel it!!

I look at what I have, 4 daughters, a lovely wife, two grandchildren and another due in 4 weeks time - it is when I think of that I feel life is GOOD!!

I wish you well, Richard

This is from the OR technical manual on how such cases should be treated

Where the official receiver is dealing with a person mentally or physically incapable of dealing with the proceedings, where possible, this should be dealt with on an informal basis. This should avoid any necessity to apply to court for the formal appointment of a representative, without forgetting the underlying seriousness of the overall situation. Once evidence is produced to satisfy the official receiver of a person’s incapacity, an informal approach should be made to their spouse or other relative or a person who is likely to be able to provide the official receiver with the information required

The OR is always sympathetic to people with illnesses especially if she can get a letter from her doctor, in some circumstances if they can get the info from elsewhere they do not interview the bankrupt put that is down to the discresion of the OR. Best to mention it to the OR as early as possible and discuss what the OR would want, for instance sometime they would be content with a written response to the OR's questions
