I intend to go BR in February 2010. I have 6 credit cards and 2 personal loans and although all of my payments are up to date I am unable to pay a great deal this month. I have been advised to cancel all further payments but somebody also said that I should make a nominal monthly payment to each creditor. I am a bit confused.com! Any suggestions as to what I should do? Thanks Peter

Many thanks again Melanie for your expert advice. Peter

Yes thats fine, I would advise you to book the appointment though as the courts are very busy at the start of the year, you may find that you can book for Feb early January. That way if any of your creditors start chasing you can tell them you have a bankruptcy hearing on.... at ....county court this will usually have the miraculous effect of them backing off! but unless you give a date or court they won't stop hassling for payment. Refering to your earlier post many people offer a token payment of around £2 per creditor to have them kept at bay!

i would also suggest that you stop paying CCs and loans
