Thank you for all advice given so far, I appreciate it. Can I ask a few more questions.
1. I dont have any bank statements, cc statements absolutly nothing because I have shreaded everything, unopened :-(, will I get into trouble for this from the OR?
2.on the SOA form under assets, do I put things like our TV, sofa, computer?
3. I purchased some furniture from my mums catalogue which I pay for monthly. I can prove they are my purchases, I still have to pay for these items, will OR allow it?
thank you

If you have bought things in your mother's name then they will not be included in your BR and the creditors will chase your mother for the debt.

Good mornong Adele

Many people do not open their bills and throw them away! You will probably have card numbers and account numbers - put those on the SOA and an estimate of what is owed - when you file the petition and then see the OR, he/she wil be able to establish from your creditors what is owed - do not worry about it - you will not get into any trouble from the OR

Pesonal things like sofas, not needed either - they are day to say essentials - Now if you have a rare pice of antique furniture or an original Picasso, then that would need to be listed - not otherwise - so again, do not worry

The catalogues - they are your mothers - if you have your own accounts with say Very or Grattan or one of the others, then they should be entered on the SOA - If they are not in your name, I do not think they are necessary to list - on that -if they in someone elses name, then they can be listed as your creditor - i.e. £500 )or whatever) due to Mrs Smith (I will be corrected by an expert if that bit is wrong)

Good luck, Richard

Good morning. If I can answer your questions in the order in which they were posed:
1. Don't worry if you do not have any bank statements. Tell the OR. If he wants them, then he can get them direct from the bank.
2. You do not need to tell the OR of your household effects. These are exempt from your bankruptcy unless any item is worth over £2,000.
3. It is unlikely that you would be allowed to continue paying for the furniture which you bought from your Mum's catalogue unless the credit is secured against the furniture. If the credit is unsecured, why would you want to pay it anyway if you are making yourself bankrupt?

All the best.
