Posted - 19 November 2009 : 20:24:12 I am 6 months into my bankruptcy and have been unemployed since the beginning of my bankruptcy. I had to leave my job as it is in the financial sector and I cannot practice if I am bankrupt. I therefore will be unemployed until the end of my bankruptcy and then seek employment. My question is :
Can the OR give me an IPA/IPO whilst I am unemployed and have no income?
Can the OR instate an IPA/IPO after I have been discharged after being unemployed upto the point of the end of my bankruptcy?
The reason I ask this question is that once I am re-employed I will have excess salary over commitments of approx £3,000 per month. My research has led me to believe that the OR cannot give me an IPA/IPO if I have no income during my bankruptcy and that they cannot instate an IPA/IPO once I am discharged.
Please clarify, would be most grateful.

Posted - 19 November 2009 : 21:02:01 hi and welcome to the forum you are correct , an IPA is according to income whilst BR, if you have no income other than benefits whilst BR ...No IPA. it has to be done whilst BR....after discharge no IPA can be set up
