I have a CCJ linked to a conviction for theft from an employer. I have served a 3 month sentence but will never be able to afford the CCJ. Can I go bankrupt or is this not allowed due to theft/fraud charge?

Thanks

i have looked into this...
if the debt is a civil debt and not a compensation order or fine from the court...
this CAN be included in BR
a CCJ normally shows that this is a civil unsecured debt

I was ordered to pay an amount at crown court which has been fully paid. The POCA has been dropped so all that remains is the CCJ which was pursued through the civil court by my previous employer.

Thanks

hi and welcome to the forum
was the debt from you r employer pursued through the civil court as regards the theft of money or is it a compensation order placed by the court that processed your theft charge?

Debts that are incurred through theft are not provable in the bankruptcy, do you have other debts and if these were removed would you be able to pay the CCJ in installments
