Posted - 02 July 2011 : 22:22:44 Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a long time. Sorry. Let me please start by thanking everyone on here who kept me going during the first few months before my BR and talked me through the process. Without you all i would still be in a big mess, or worse - i was in a total state and suffered a breakdown soon after the BR went through. Who knows what might of happened if it hadn't though, i dread to think.
I left my job the month after my BR (BR on 24 June 2010)due to bullying at work and could cope no longer, my marriage was in a mess and my husband was waiting on my BR going through before he went for his. Big mistakes with unreliable builders and the collapse of the property market during a renovation and huge losses meant we owed 120k between us.
Everything went super smooth and not anything like a BR in England. We had no interviews, no IPO and the house has reverted back to us already after just the year being BR. I don't know why it is so different over here? But thank god it is. I can't believe our good news, it was a big price to pay mentally and emotionally but it could have been much worse by others accounts.
I am happy to say we are beginning to rebuild our life and our relationship too, it is taking a while but i think we will recover and ofcourse we are so careful with every penny we have too. I am still recovering my health and not working yet but I am going to start University in September part=time at first to see how it goes and then hopefully full time after my first exam results.
So if anyone is living in Northern Ireland and thinking of going BR, please don't be afraid. Contact Michael Peoples on the forum, I did and he saved my life, as did you all, Again, a big thank you.
Regards, Golf88

Posted - 03 July 2011 : 07:57:41 What an excellent and inspiring post Golf. I am so glad that things are working out well for you.
I hope that your health continues to improve and that Uni goes ok. Fingers crossed that your relationship is now back on track - it does strain things when you have financial problems.
I've never met Michael but have had 'conversations' with him on the sister forum and he always comes across as a really nice bloke. Glad he was able to help you.
Keep us informed as to how things are going.
Follow through Make your dreams come true Don't give up the fight You will be alright 'Cause there's no one like you in the universe
