Hi Bob

any joint debts will pass to the other person on being declared bankrupt.

some people in bankruptcy are able to keep their home.

if you are able to keep your home and do not have any joint debts Bankruptcy should not effect your wife.

take advantage of one of the experts to the left and give them a call, they will be able to identify with your scenario and provide practical guidance.

I used Paul and his team @ reviva and really recomend their services.

regards Richard

Hi, as far my knowledge, its not necessary that your wife need not file br. But in case of sales being done, then both you and your wife need to file br.

You can get help regarding this issue from this website ohio debt relief

Get all the useful information about ohio bankruptcy laws and know abt the exemptions on debtreliefohio.org

If the house has equity then your wife could offer to buy the Benificial interest. If it is needed to be sold to release the equity to the creditors then if there is a shortfall in the sale then this would become due in full from your wife.
