Hi i am newbie here, i am separated from my husband since august last year, i am going bankrupt as owe around 74,000 my husband left all the debt to me as everything is in my name. House repossessed etc. my husband took a loan out with my sister nearly 2 year ago and he was paying that every month threw my bank account, he stopped paying her the money last october, what effect will this have on me and my bankruptdcy as the OR will look at my bank statements etc, even though this debt had nothing to do with me purely between those 2. He never signed anything for it, and now my sister is out of pocket too. |

hi and welcome to the forum it would appear that the loan between your ex and your sister is nothing to do with you other than you were the go between for the payments. if the OR queries these payments tell the truth as it is not your debt.

Hi thanks, but i am really worried about the whole process, my other sister went threw it and she said there was nothing to worry about, easy for her to say now that she had a discharge and had a good OR. I do have the money to pay for the fees and the forms all done just need to make a appointment with the courts and its very daunting i seem to be putting the day off making the appointment, this is how worried i am. |

it is worrying until you have been to court and then it is a massive relief if you have any questions or concerns about the forms etc please post them on here and we will try and assist

Hi Lindy pluck up the courage and ring your local court (or ask your sister to do it) some of the courts have a waiting list about 2 weeks, As chester states it is a massive relief go ahead and start to plan your future regards Richard |
