| Hi! My debtors asked me to inform them about my court date. Should I inform them and what do you think they are going to do, are they going to send someone to the court? |

| They won't send anyone to court unless they are taking you to court to declare you BR. Whether you inform your creditors of your court date or not is really up to you as it won't make any real difference. The only thing that may happen is that your creditors chase you even more for their money as they know when you are BR they won't get their money back. |

| I chose to not answer the phone , letters or any other contact from my creditors. They were hounding me every day. I only answered them after BR and innformed them of my number and date and ended the call. Within a few days all the calls and letters stopped. |

Hi
As has been said, there is no need to tell your creditors at this stage - if you do, they may well have a "final burst" to get something from you!
Best strategy is to go to court and then they will all know.
If you are being harrassed, contact you landline provider and say you are getting nuisance calls and they wil put you ex directory and change the number for no cost to you - we did it and the line was quiet!! Only people that we actually want to speak to
Good luck, Richard

Hi We are on the talktalk network and have found a very useful feature. If we dial 14258 after a call, it bars that number from then on.Luckily, Capital One and Barclaycard (2 of the worst for chasing debts) don't withold their number, so we haven't had a call from them for a couple of weeks. Not sure if 'Bar last call' feature is available on other networks but its worth checking. |

Hi
I have learnt something today - can that be done on any network or is it just "talktalk"?

Hi
Not sure if available on BT etc, but would have thought so as they normally all copy each other. It is a fantastic service and really useful for all those annoying sales calls as well. |

Interesting and thank you for the information - will be useful for people who are being annoyed by those awful call centres!

Thank for replies I decided not to tell them, but I can not really say that I have been harassed. All of the creditors where nice and once I told them I was going for BR they call me sometimes to check if I already has been made bancrupt even people from Barclays. |
