hiya i went bankrupt in jan this year!!still dont regret it... but really struggling with bills and rent etc (i havent missed any and up to date) but only just as i have quite a low income and work 45 hours a week... is there any financial help/benefits i could be entitled to..(can you claim them if you have went bankrupt?) just im struggling with day to day living!
thanks for any advise would really be appriciated!

Hi

Nothing to stop you claiming welfare benefits, such as Council Tax Benefit, Child Tax Credit (if appropriate) Working Tax Credit and if you are renting, Housing Benefit.

In addition, if you or your partner have a disability, you can make a claim for Disability Living Allowance - there are two elemnets to this - care and mobility and both are graded into three allowances, depending upon the degree of disability/need
