hi i have been discharged since april and have followed the steps to start cleaning my credit files up. so far so good may i add.my credit files are now showing all but two as settled. im now thinking of going for a Vanquis card has anyone any advice is this a good move?

Getting a Vanquis card will help to improve your credit rating but you will need to make sure that you pay off any amount each month as the interest rates are horrific.

Your credit rating won't be 100% until the BR debts fall off your credit history 6 yrs after you declared BR but it doesn't do any harm to improve it as much as you can in the meantime.

I agree with gettingoutofdebt - a Vanquis card is useful, providing that you pay the balance in full each month. I have one and I've got the DD set up to clear the balance.

I agree with the above. A Vanquis card is a good way to start to rebuild credit as long as you pay off the balance.
