hi, am due to file next thursday 29th, I think my SoA is all correct, but have seen on here today that apparently the insolvency service has tightened up on their terms and regulations since the budget (think this was a post from Integ?)...what does this mean exactly, and will i have to do anything differently or supply any extra information on my soa
many thanks
david

This is integ trying to persuade you that only he has information that could be usefull. Therefore you will pay them to do your forms for you.

There has been no crackdown because of the budget on IPA expenses. Probably what he is confusing this with is that every year in March the Insolvency service updates its gudeline amounts. This year a couple have gone down a little bit others have gone up as well)

All that you need to do is put whatever your expenses are down on your forms

Hi, I filed for bankruptcy today and filled my own forms in. As long as you fill in everything and are totally honest it is fine and the clerk checks everything with you. In fact the judge today asked me if I had done the forms myself as they were so neat and accurately done. I told him I had done it myself and he said that the previous person had paid a company £750 to do his forms and they weren't half as good as mine. My advice is to read every section and put in all the detail you can find and/or remember and it will be fine. As long as you are honest on your form then if the OR doesn't agree then he will let you know.

OMG so worried and not sleeping.

That's good advice from Worried Woman. Take your time completing the forms, and if you find you've forgotten something don't worry, it can always be added on later.

I think the BR allowances aren't as generous as they used to be, but just be honest about what you spend - the OR can only say no or reduce the amount. If some of the expenditure is high be prepared to justify it to the OR, but don't worry about it.

Thanks for all the advice, I think I should be fine on the allowances as I am currently on JSA of £60.00 per week due to being made redundant twice in a year!. So fingers crossed all will be ok. I have been honest on the form, no point what so ever in lying about anything.
Thanks and cant wait for next Thursday to come and then get the OR interview over...then start to build up my life again. I thank god I have found a lovely new partner who is so supportive.
Thanks again folks

Hi David

Good luck on the 29th - post back to let others know what your experience was like.

I assure you that you will only be in the Judges Chambers for a couple of minites. he or she will not "grill you" - a few sentences and over!

In some CCs you do not even see the Judge!
