Following my last post about my prospective mother inlaws income having to be put on soa I have spoken to her about it, and bless her heart she was absolutely petrified that she would have baliffs at the door and that her address(where I am currently staying) will be blacklisted. I have tried to ecplain to her that this is my debt and that no one can touch anything of hers, but she is so worried, that I cannot put her through this. She has given me a roof bless her heart and this is too much for her. This being the case I am planning on the following:

I have cancelled my BR hearing due this Thursday.
Am going to empty my house of my furniture this week and put in storage.
Have had 6 month exemption put on house for my council tax.
My parents are going to pay the final bills for utilities on the house and then I am going to send the keys back to the MP.
Meanwhile my fiance and me are going to find somewhere to rent and then go BR asap.
I have changed my telephone number and none of my creditors have my current address, only the one at my house up North, and am hoping this will give me time to find new rental property and file BR.
I feel better knowing that I have a plan to work to, rather than just jumping into the BR (which to be honest was what I had done, I just filled in the forms and made my appointment without really looking into all the steps and info needed)
My question is that by the time this happens some of my creditors (Credit card, Loans) would not have been paid for about 5 - 6 months, the mortgage will be about 2 months......is this leaving it too long and will it cause problems with the OR.
Sorry for the long post folks.

No it wont cause problems, you are just taking the time needed to sort yourself out which is ok. The only thing that could cause problems is if you took on any new credit wich is a big NO NO. You cant afford to pay them, so you are not paying them, it is as simple as that
