I own my home outright and have the deeds in my name only. I payed off my mortgage ten years ago. My partner moved in with me last year, but has been left with bad debts by her previous partner, she wants to declare herself bankrupt to wipe the debt away so me and her can have a future debt free. How do I stand with all this as the home owner and how would I safeguard myself? I have no debt and bank accounts/shares are all in my name only. I would be grateful for your help.
You should be fine and safe - as debtinfo has said, if she has made any contribution to the asset, then that could affect the position. Form what you have described you are looking fine
