I was made bankrupt sept 2009 and discharged July 2010. I am in the process of cleaning up my files so requested credit reports from experian, equifax and callcredit.

Neither have Barclays on the files even though barclays was a creditor.

how is this possible ?

Hi Spices

different companies list on diferent sites

if you cannot locate the barclays file neither will other enquirers be able to do so.

if you have sent any letters to other old creditors send the same to barclays

unfortunately credit files are not an exact science and sometimes appear more as a black art.

worth checking every 4 - 6 months just incase barclays were slow in updating something

I was declined by Barclays as well, and although they couldn't tell me why they presumed it was because Barclaycard weren't one of my creditors. I would think they would be able to tell that from their systems whether the account is on your credit files or not.

Personally I wouldn't contact Barclaycard just yet - I would have thought that if you can't see them on your credit files then no one else will either.
