My husband and I are divorcing and I moved out of the country with majority of our furniture at the beginning of the year. The flat we own in UK is partly furnished but definitely looks uninhabited now. Will the court ask me to bring back the furniture to asess it? I moved out not knowing we were going bankrupt. I am worried now about items i bought a couple of months ago, which was before my husband told me he is planning to make us go bankrupt. Will it count as unreasonable spending? ( i had an additional credit card to his card and bought an expensive bag). I want to make sure we will not be made bankrupt for prolonged time. thank you for your help.
Normally the OR is only interested in items worth more than about £500 so unless the furniture is worth more than that you should be ok. Unless the handbag is more than £500 you should be ok especially as you weren't aware that you would be declaring BR.
