Hi, not been on for a while but I as was considering bankruptcy after being made redundant after 16 years and then out of work for 4, with a disability.
However I have recently started a new job in the financial sector which doesn’t pay very much yet (my total debt is still making me consider bankruptcy but of course that could mean I get sacked from my employment (there was a contract clause about bankruptcy...)) But after no chasing for a few years, im starting to get demands again and im wondering how they know that im working ? (it seems too much of a coincidence, to be happening now).
I am not trying to shirk my responsibility, I just need to make a decision about what to do and need to know if me now being in work is common knowledge out there and if so, how, as I would need to take into account that the rest of them will also be about to chase me again.

Thank you for any information that will help me make the right decision

Hi Bill

might be just coincidence they do resurrect files and chase people unfortuantly the debts dont go away and likle this time they surface when you dont really want them to do so.

If the job is an ongoing contract with increased wages over time, you need to keep control of the creditors, this may be done by and IVA, DMP.

make contact with one of the experts and see if they can help keep them at bay. If the wages are going to increase over time then consider speaking to Paul about the Reviva plan.

regards Richard

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
