My son was declared bankrupt yesterday from our address. How do I have a notice of dissassociation put on mu credit file. Thanks.

Hi Maria,

It's probably not necessary unless you have any joint lending with your son as you won't be financially associated with him anyway.

If you find you have problems, you need to log onto experian, equifax and callcredit and there are letters on there that you can print, or phone them and ask them to send you them.

After my IVA, my husband was not affected at all so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thanks for info. I was concerned that it might come up against our address. By the way, for anyone about to go to court, I was amazed how helpful everyone was especially the judge, he was brilliant.It was far less scarey than we thought it would be.X

Some debts were registered at my mum's address and some at my partner's (where I was living at the time) and neither of them have had any problems getting credit since I went BR.

I'm glad it all went well at court x

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 - it's over at last!
